A 3-day course has been organized this week by the Apulian association of agronomist to provide critical information and share relevant scientific background with agronomists and farm advisories operating in the Xylella-demarcated and pest-free areas of this region.

Lectures and practical demonstrations on the main aspects characterizing the bacterium and its vectors involve the major contribution of the researchers of the POnTE and XF-ACTORS projects from CNR-IPSP, UNIBA, CRSFA (Vincenzo Cavalieri, Enza Dongiovanni, Pierfederico Lanotte, Franco Nigro, Maria Saponari, Franco Valentini).
The aim of the course is to raise awareness and transfer competence to the experts that assist growers and farmers in the implementation of the containment measures as well as to reinforce the concept of prevention and to promote a more effective communication strategy.
