The theme selected for Plant Health 2020 conference is “Scientific Credibility: Changing the Climate,” inspired in large part by the growing gap in understanding and respect between scientists and the public, as well as a book written by Richard Harris, NPR Science Reporter, titled Rigor Mortis: How Sloppy Science Creates Worthless Cures, Crushes Hope, and Wastes Billions.
Plant Health 2020 is organized by the The American Phytopathological Society (APS).
On August 11, our project coordinator, Maria Saponari (CNR-IPSP) will give her contribution: “Adaptation of Xylella fastidiosa to new hosts and spittlebug vectors: an emerging threat to olives and other Mediterranean crops”.
