National and international experts will meet in Valencia to share the latest scientific and technical advances for the control of diseases caused by Xylella fastidiosa.
Phytoma España and the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change and Rural Development of the Valencian Community co-organize the International Meeting on Xylella fastidiosa, an unpredictable threat? Technical and scientific breakthroughs in disease control, which will be held on December 12 and 13 at the Valencia Ateneo.
The objective of the meeting is to address the most recent knowledge about this bacterium, fruit of many years of research in America and the advances in the main European projects underway. For this, the main national and international experts will participate in this Encounter, scientists who have been studying the bacteria for years to advance in the control strategies of the numerous diseases that can cause in crops of great economic and social impact such as olive trees, grapes, the almond and citrus.
Researchers working in the framework of XF-Actors project – Maria Saponari, Blanca Landa, Josè Blasco, Juan Navas, Pasquale Saldarelli and Daniele Cornara – will provide updates on the emergency of Xylella fastidiosa in Europe.”
