On November 14, journalist Alison Abbott published a second article this year on the continuous expansion of the spread of the bacterium Xylella fastidiosa in southern Italy, where infections are devastating ancient olive trees and entire olive groves.
The journalist points out the increase of the surface included in the demarcation of the infected area and legal consequences that Italy can suffers if found guilty for the non-compliance with the containment measures enforced at EU level.
