Released by the European Commission – DG Health and Food Safety – the 10th update on the host plants susceptible to Xylella fastidiosa in the EU territory
On 15 February 2018, the DG Health and Food Safety of the European Commission has updated the list of host plants susceptible to Xylella fastidiosa in the EU territory. This is the 10th update since the publication of the database in December 2015.
The list of susceptible plant species was updated following the latest official reports from Spain and France.
A) The following plant species have been now included among those susceptible to the subspecies multiplex:
• Coronilla glauca
• Euryops chrysanthemoides
• Medicago sativa
• Prunus cerasus
• Acacia saligna (Labill.) Wendl
• Euryops chrysanthemoides (DC.) B.Nord
• Prunus cerasus L.
B) Whereas the following plant species are now included under the category “Host plants found to be susceptible to Xylella fastidiosa “irrespective of the subspecies”:
• Calicotome spinosa (L.) Link;
• Genista lucida Cambess;
• Juglans regia L.
• Rhamnus alaternus L.
