Lecturer on remote sensing applications in precision crop protection at the CIHEAM Master of Science programme in Integrated Pest Management. CIHEAM expert in: – two national research projects on proximal and remote sensing on Citrus Tristeza Virus (CTV) and on data management for Xylella fastidiosa; – the cooperational project ‘Olive oil in Lebanon’ (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affaires) for the olive photointerpretation; – the official monitoring of quarantine pathogens in Apulia (CTV, Plum pox virus, Phytoplasma vitis, Erwinia amylovora) for producing thematic mapping; – the network of laboratories of Apulia region, Italy (SELGE) for the proximal and remote sensing lab. Co-designer and co-developer of the Android device ‘XylAppPuglia’ for field data acquisition and co-developer of the photointerpretation of OQDS in the official monitoring programme of X. fastidiosa.
